 Jimmy Kimmel and Nightline

Last week ABC replaced Nightline with Jimmy Kimmel. We discuss America’s precipitous decline, as it becomes an increasingly ill-informed nation with more and more guns.

The NRA’s depiction about Australia’s gun restriction poklicy is completely false.

In fact, since the gun–buy-back of 1996 under John Howard gun-crimes have dramatically fallen in this country.

There were NO -ZERO – 0 – gun massacres in Australia since 1996 !
F*** the NRA propaganda – the NRA are lying.

    Hey David,

I am a big fan. But your assement of violent video games is so archane and backwards I cant believe what I heard! You should really look up Jack Thompson and have all your arguments creamed like he did in Florida. Every thing you said was completely backwards and false. You said video games desensitize people and make people more violent. that is the exact opposite of reality, people who play games are less violent look up the studies done on this. You said people who play games are less intellegent, again the opposite is true, people who play games are more likely to be technolgically advanced in their understanding of technology and information, that is why most IT professionals play games and why FX is doing a reality show called ‘king of the nerds’ and their logo has an X-box 360 controller, because all nerds play video games. Video games today are interactive movies, with deep plots and story lines that engage people, that is why hollywood is making movies. Video games today have award winning writers and actors and composers who perform just as they would in a blockbuster movie. More and more hollywood is intergrating into video games. I would much rather have my child play a violent video game than watch a violent movie. Violence in video games is much less than film, for one the worlds you inhabit are fake, pixilated and many times alien. It is like watching a violent cartoon. There is no differnence to me between my generation of nerds who play video games and your generation of nerds who collected comic books. Where is you argument of comic book nerds? Don’t comics have violence? You do realize in games you are the hero? and I have never see any rape in one video game that was a flat out lie, that you repeated over and over again. In Grand Theft Auto 3 you could pick up a hooker and the car would shake up and down, no breast, no simulated sex scene that was it. Once the hooker left the car you could shoot her and get your money back but you could shoot anyone in GTA, never was there a rape in a video game, But like in the real world if you shoot someone the cops chase you down and kill you. I would like to see you find one instance of a wide distrubted game where you could forceable rape a woman. It doesn’t exist! So stop saying that bullShit!
