Author: Janie Haddad Tompkins

Graduated from the MFA program for Actors at Southern Methodist University. Has been in over 37 plays. Started a theater company in Los Angeles called Meadows Basement with some colleagues that has enjoyed much critical success. She was born in West Virginia and grew up on Sullivan's Island in South Carolina after she moved there with her mom and brother, Alex, when her parents amicably divorced in 1980. Comes from a large Irish and Lebanese family that is really progressive and liberal and extremely loving and close. She is a huge alternative comedy enthusiast. Lived in Harlem during the 9/11 attacks before becoming Los Angeles based.
