First Toronto Mayor Rob Ford knocked America down to second place in the category of World’s Sleaziest Politicians. Now comes Ryutaro Nonomura who is a Japanese assemblyman accused of using public funds last year for 106 day trips to a hot springs spa. This week he held a press conference to address these allegations. As evidenced by this video Ryutaro needs to find another form of relaxation because the hot springs are not doing the trick. As America drops to third place our politicians need to pick up their game.
Luckily the Associated Press could translate:

“To change Japan and society,” he said in a choked voice, stopping mid-sentence, sometimes sobbing so loud he was shouting. “I’m putting my life on the line.”
