Rush today insisted that women need no protection because they’re stronger than men on the fictional television show “Suits.” He says the secretaries on that program are always depicted as smarter than their bosses, stronger than their bosses and always telling their bosses to “grow a pair,” so that proves men are weak and women are strong. Yet he fails to notice that the stronger sex still works as secretaries while the weaker sex makes more money as their boss.

The American Family Association is run by Republican Bryan Fischer, a Stanford graduate who went on to get a degree from the Dallas Theological Seminary. Fischer served as the official chaplain for the Idaho state senate. He now hosts a syndicated radio show, and here he is engaging in nothing short of hate speech. This is the official chaplain for Idaho’s senate. Here is a blindingly bright example of why we need separation of church and state.
