Truly incredible. Vice President Dick Cheney double downed this morning on ABC’s This Week by pretty much accusing President Obama of being a “treasonous fool.” After Jonathan Karl read excerpts from Liz and Dick Cheney’s jeremiad against the White House’s Iraq policy in Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal, Karl observed it sounded like Cheney was accusing our president of “treason.” Cheney’s response was not to deny Obama is guilty of treason but instead to continue to make the case against our president without walking back the question of “treason.” Has there ever been a more repulsive figure in American politics? The answer is no, no there has not.
