Frank Schaeffer is the author of “Letter to Lucy: A Manifesto of Creative Redemption—In the Age of Trump, Fascism and Lies” available only on iBooks.
He was there at the beginning when the Republicans forged their unholy alliance with Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority. Not only was he there, he helped make it happen. Born into evangelical royalty, Frank Schaeffer spent most of his life flying around on Jerry Falwell’s private jet, hanging out with Billy Graham and his son Franklin Graham. Then he turned his back on both the Republican party and the evangelical movement that hijacked it. He is the author of the best seller “Why I am an Atheist Who Believes in God.”
Frank Schaeffer joins us to talk about the moral bankruptcy of America’s evangelical movement, and why Donald Trump will be its demise.
