See Paul McCartney's Star-Filled 'Meat Free Mondays' Video

Paul McCartney has made a music video in support of his family’s Meat Free Mondays campaign, which urges people to take a weekly break from eating meat in an effort to help the environment. The song – which dates back to 2009, when the outspoken vegetarian cofounded the effort with his daughters Mary and Stella – lays out all the benefits to slightly changing one’s diet, including reducing greenhouse gases and slowing down the polar ice thaw and rising ocean levels. His video features people from all over the world holding up signs with the song’s lyrics, including celebrities like Woody Harrelson, Twiggy and actress Joanna Lumley. McCartney makes a wide-smiled appearance at the end.

There’s no exact figure available, but if I had to guess how many characters Matt Stone and Trey Parker have voiced over 17 seasons (and one movie!) of South Park, I’d say: a lot. But even they need SOME help. Mona Marshall and April Stewart provide the voices for most of the females on the long-running series, while Vernon Chatman, Adrien Beard, and Jennifer Howell are the talent behind Towelie, Token, and Bebe. There’s been a heap of guest stars, too. Matt and Trey will gladly keep the skewering of Tom Cruise in-house, but sometimes, you just need some assistance from Radiohead.

According to Advertising, the 1950s woman wanted to fuck her appliances.

It was the salad baby-booming post-WWII days of this great country, when men were men and women were wives. Obedient wives. Obedient wives with sparkling dishware, spotless clothing that smelt of the ocean, perfectly organized spice racks, and tightly sealed leftovers. Obedient wives who put on their shiniest pair of fuck-me pumps and orgasmed whenever a new appliance arrived (but not in bed, unless it was a new bed with Tide®-fresh sheets).

The Advertising Creative Revolution of the 1960s swept aside this obscene objectophilia. But it created another one, for men, involving cars (future post). There’s always another one. Today it’s gadgets, right moronic Apple fanboys?

Joan Rivers Remembered: Read Daughter Melissa’s Funny Eulogy in Full

Joan Rivers once wrote that she wanted a Hollywood-style funeral, with Meryl Streep crying in five different accents and a toe-tag designed by Harry Winston. She came close. The service, held at Temple Emanu-El on Fifth Avenue and 65th Street on Sept. 7, was indeed a red-carpeted, star-studded affair — Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Clive Davis,Diane Sawyer and a slew of other luminaries filed past the paparazzi and into the temple to bid Rivers goodbye. Howard Stern, Cindy Adams and Deborah Norville delivered three of the eulogies, and at one point, Hugh Jackman sang Peter Allen‘s “Quiet Please, There’s a Lady on Stage.”

But if Rivers’ funeral was a “show,” the high point must have been the eulogy delivered by her daughter, Melissa, 46, who stood before the crowd and read an excerpt from A Letter to My Mom, a collection of letters by celebrities that will be published in April by Crown Archetype. In recent years, Joan had been staying in a room at Melissa’s L.A. residence when, once a week, she flew in from New York to tape E!’s Fashion Police. Apparently — according to correspondence Melissa wrote before Joan died and read at her mother’s funeral, printed in its entirety below — Joan had some issues with the accommodations.
