1. A word of friendly debate advice — don’t accept your opponent’s assertions at face value. Jeff Norman misrepresented Greenwald’s take on Citizens United, among many other things. Leaving out the relevant details is what Fox News does and what he did to you. Greenwald’s is a somewhat infuriating and counterintuitive position, but more complicated and cynical than Norman suggested.


    If you don’t know what Greenwald said — and why would you remember what his column said 4 years ago? — don’t concede the point. And besides, so what if Greenwald has a certain position? It’s called “appeal to authority” and it’s a dodge from debating the ruling and its ramifications. Greenwald is a smart and knowledgeable guy, but so you are you Feldo.
